Ivan Richard Hawkins

With heavy hearts, yet with unwavering faith in God, we celebrate the life and cherish the memories of Mr. Ivan Richard Hawkins, who peacefully entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the age of 48. He was born on June 17, 1978, in Anderson County, South Carolina, Ivan was the beloved son of Richard M. Hawkins and Cynthia Brooks Hawkins. From an early age, he was taught the value of faith, family, integrity, and hard work—principles that remained the foundation of his life. Ivan was a husband, loving father, supportive brother, and loyal friend. He possessed a quiet strength and humble spirit that drew people to him. His gentle smile, warm heart, and willingness to lend a helping hand made a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to have know him. He was employed as a Supply Technician, where he was respected for his dependability, dedication, and strong work ethic. Ivan believed in doing every task with excellence and serving others with humility. His greatest joy was found in his family. Whether spending time with loved ones, sharing laughter, offering encouragement, or simply being present, Ivan treasured every opportunity to create lasting memories with those he loved. His family was his pride and his greatest blessing. Ivan was a member of the United House of Prayer for All People, and was a talented musician within the church. Ivan leaves to cherish his precious memory: His parents Richard M. Hawkins, and Cynthia Brooks Hawkins, his wife: Cheryl Hawkins of Anderson S.C, His beloved daughter Tashantee Scotland of Anderson S.C., sisters Melissa Brooks of Anderson S.C., Camille Hayes of New York, and Tara Lockey of Chicago Ill, brother Edwin B. Hawkins of Anderson S.C. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, church family, and dear friends who will forever treasure the love, wisdom, and kindness he shared. He was preceded in death by his brother Cedric Hawkins. Although Ivan's earthly journey has ended, his legacy of love, compassion, faith, and perseverance will continue to inspire all who knew him. While we mourn his absence, we rejoice knowing that he has exchanged the cares of this world for eternal peace in the presence of our Lord and Savior. His life reminds us that it is not measured by the number of years we live, but by the love we give, the lives we touch, and the faith we leave behind. Funeral services for Ivan Richard Hawkins will be held Saturday 1:00 P.M. at the House of Prayer 619 East River Street Anderson S.C., public viewing will be Friday from 1:00-6:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. The family is at the home 1402 South Fant Street Anderson S.C. Foggie-Holloway Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
