Polly Morton Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continue to be in my mouth. (Psalms 34:1) Pastor Polly Remelle Morton, entered in to Eternal and Heavenly rest on Saturday, October 6th, 2018 at AnMed Hospital in Anderson, SC. She was born on March 13th, 1949 to the late Carrie Kay Harling and the late Montreal Hamilton in Anderson, SC. She was reared by the late Josephus Kay, Ineza Kay Boseman and Hosea Boseman. Pastor Morton was joined in lovely matrimony to Daniel C. Morton on February 14th , 1992. She attended Geer-Gant school and later received her GED in April of 2000. She worked several years in the textile industry prior to retirement. She was a former member of Welfare Baptist Church, Full Gospel, and Freedom Faith before she received her calling to pastor at Tabernacle of Deliverance from 1994 to 2018. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her husband Daniel C. Morton; Four sons, Anthony (Michelle) Davis of Anderson, SC, Leigh (Bertha) Davis of Stockton, California, Leconte (Yoko) Morton of Anderson, SC and Daniel (Chasity) Morton II of Honolulu, Hawaii. Two daughters, Towanda Holmes of Clinton, SC and Alicia (Ronald) Greene of Anderson, SC. Twenty-seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. One brother, James Harling and eight sisters, Mary Kay Brown, Frankie (Big Worm) Green, Daisy Burbage, Lucille Bryant, Gloria Miller, Patti Gray, Dianne Mack, Vanessa Payne and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Jesse Harling and Audie Harling and three sisters, Gwendolyn Hamilton, Mary McCallister and Janie Harling. Funeral services will be Sunday, October 14, 2018 at 2:00PM at Welfare Baptist Church with burial in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Foggie-Holloway’s Funeral Home in Charge of services.
