Earlene Cowan

Earlene Cowan age 81 of 160 Cart Crossing Unit 101 Conway S.C., formally of Anderson S.C., passed Wednesday at her home. She was born in Anderson County and was the daughter of the late Elijah Thompson and Tiny Baskin Thompson. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters Shirley Faye Daniel of Conway S.C., Janice Irene Cowan of Anderson S.C., and Kathy Lee Ann(Charles) Yeargin of Belton S.C., three sons Kenneth Earl Cowan, Melvin “Bo” Cowan both of Belton S.C., and Bonitez Lavar Cowan of Star S.C. 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Leroy Cowan Jr., one son Rufus Wardell Cowan, two sisters Odella Geer, and Rosa Mae McDavid, one brother Marion “Shot” Thompson. Funeral services will be held Sunday April 25, 2021 at 2:00P.M. Welfare Baptist Church Pavilion, burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, public viewing will be Saturday from 11:00-7:00P.M. at the funeral home. The family is at the home of her son Melvin Cowan 227 West Union Drive Belton S.C. Holloway's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
