Mrs. Fannie Belle Davis

Mrs. Fannie Belle Davis, 80, of Belton, South Carolina, peacefully transitioned from this earthly life on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born on January 12, 1946, in Walterboro, South Carolina, Mrs. Davis was the daughter of the late Birdy Primus Sanders and Timothy Sanders. She was a woman of faith, grace, wisdom, and compassion whose life reflected her love for God, her family, education, and service to others. Mrs. Davis valued education and dedicated much of her life to helping others learn and grow. She was a proud graduate of Benedict College, where she earned her bachelor’s degree, and Clemson University, where she earned her master’s degree. She faithfully served as an educator for 31 years, touching the lives of countless students, families, and colleagues before retiring. Above all, Mrs. Davis was a dedicated woman of God. She was a faithful member of Welfare Baptist Church, where her Christian character, kindness, and commitment to serving the Lord were evident in the way she lived and treated others. Her life was a beautiful testimony of faith, love, strength, and service. She will be remembered not only for what she accomplished, but for the lives she touched and the love she shared along the way. Mrs. Davis was also a life member of the National Education Association of South Carolina and a life member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving husband, Oscar “Chip” Davis of the home; one son, Anthony L. (Tonia) Davis of Greenville, South Carolina; two sisters, Bernice Benjamin of Simpsonville, South Carolina, and Rosa Mae (Harold) West of Columbia, South Carolina; two brothers, Jervey Sanders of Aiken, South Carolina, and Larry Sanders of St. George, South Carolina; one granddaughter, Ashlyn Davis of Greenville, South Carolina; and a host of aunts, other relatives, church family, former students, colleagues, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Dennis Sanders. Mrs. Davis leaves behind a legacy of faith, education, service, and love that will continue to live in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Though her earthly journey has ended, the impact of a life so faithfully lived will remain for generations to come Funeral services will be Tuesday 1:00 P.M. Welfare Baptist Church, burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Public viewing will be Monday from 12:00-3:00P.M. at Holloway's Funeral Home. Alpha Kappa Apha Sorority, Inc. Ivy Beyond the Wall Ceremony will be held Monday evening 6:30 P.M. at Welfare Baptist Church.
